Elizabeth M. Lynch

As Executive Director, Beth Lynch oversees the MBF's operations, grantmaking, and strategic development activities.

Lynch first joined the MBF staff in 2000, serving first as Grants Administrator and then as Grants Manager until 2004. Prior coming to the MBF,  Lynch worked as a Program Associate at the Eurasia Foundation, where she made grants to promote economic and democratic reform in the former Soviet Union. She also served as a Herbert Scoville, Jr. Peace Fellow at the Natural Resources Defense Council in Washington, D.C., where she researched civilian nuclear spent fuel reprocessing in Eastern Europe.

Lynch currently serves as a trustee to the National Conference of Bar Foundations.

She earned a bachelor's degree at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley and a master's degree from Columbia University in New York, N.Y.

Sarah A. Levy

As Program Assistant, Sarah Levy works on the Foundation's fundraising and grantmaking activities.

Levy joined the staff in 2011, shortly after graduating with a bachelor's degree from Brandeis University in Waltham. While at Brandeis, Sarah majored in sociology and earned numerous awards for her academic achievements, including membership in Phi Beta Kappa, the Brandeis Achievement Award, and a fellowship from the Louis D. Brandeis Legacy Fund for Social Justice.  While a college student, Levy worked at a number of nonprofit organizations including the Rose Art Museum and Watch CDC.
